Join our Installation team as a Landscape Foreman for a company that loves to build beautiful projects while having fun outdoors.

Creative By Design Landscaping design and builds all aspects of high-quality custom landscapes.

Responsibilities:

As a Landscape Construction Foreman, your duties will include administration and scheduling for the Build team, provide support and training for your team, and learn to think and act on your feet.

A Foreman must have the following experience, knowledge or skills:

At least 2 yrs of formal training or 5 yrs experience in the industry
Must hold a valid BC Driver’s License with a Heavy Trailer Endorsement
First Aid Certificate
Proven leadership skills
The ability to read a plan / design and do take-offs for materials
Able to run and manage crew of 3 or 4 workers throughout the completion of a landscape project
Inspect all work being done to ensure it is up to Creative By Design standards
Maintain a safe work environment
Ensuring all aspect of the site activities are done so in a safe manner

Complete installation of:

• Paving Stones & Hydro pressed slabs
• Flagstone Installation
• Residential drainage systems
• Natural stone rock wall creation (machine built and hand stacked)
• Allan block and similar style walls
• All types of water features
• Low voltage landscape lighting layout and install
• Irrigation system building
• Softscapes – Planting, soil work and mulching

Operation of all construction equipment:

• Skid Steer
• Excavator
• Plate Tamper
• Jumping Jack
• Transit/laser Level
• Brick Saw
• Cut-off Saw
• Etc.

What to expect as a Landscape Construction Foreman:

As a foreman you can expect:  Seasonal – Approx March 1 – December 15th – As a Leader this may extend at either end of the season.  Fulltime 40-50 hours per week.  Competitive wages based on value and attitude you offer and provide.  Typical wage range may be $26 – $35 per hour for the landscaping Foreman position.
